WADEBRIDGE MEMORY CAFE

John Betjeman Center Southern Way, Wadebridge, PL27 7BX

Business Details

We meet at the Betjeman centre in Southern Way, Wadebridge from 2pm to 4pm on the 2nd and 4th Saturday each month, unless there is an outing arranged.

Our facilitator thinks up ways to get us talking to each other and sharing memories. We do this in a light-hearted way through creating some team spirit using a big screen and table computers to look at pictures to help our conservations. The opportunity is never missed to share interesting thoughts, fascinating facts and join in a familiar song.

At about a 3pm we take a break for ta and cakes and a chat. Some afternoons we invite guests to entertain us with dance, music or crafts.

Some of our volunteers are on hand and professionally qualified to talk on a one to one basis for any care questions.

The Wadebridge memory café Association relies on donations to meet our costs or rent, equipment, outings and any fees. We do a small raffle that guests contribute prizes to, which meets our refreshment cost plus a little extra. For more information contact membership secretary Margaret Lovell on 07551 395188.
